During the Union Township trustee meeting Tuesday, Sept. 22, officials recognized members of the Union Township Fire Department for their recent accreditation.
On Aug. 24 – 29, Fire Chief Stan Deimling and Captain Perry Gerome attended the Commission on Fire Accreditation International hearing in pursuit of reaccreditation.
“The Union Township Fire Department staff not only protect the people of Union Township each day, but they go above and beyond what is expected of them,” said Township Administrator David Duckworth. “These are the men and women who literally dot the i’s and cross the t’s to make this accreditation possible and we thank them and are proud of what they do. They are one of only five fire departments in the state of Ohio to receive this accreditation.’
