Clermont County is mourning the death of community leader, activist, and beloved mother Ruth Homan.
Ruth Taylor, 76, of Goshen Township, died May 4. She was a Homemaker. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Gustav and Clara.
Mildred E. Rief, 93, of Bethel, died May 2. Mildred was preceded in death by husband, Graydon; son, Robert; and one grandchild.
Robert Melvin Horne, 83, of Cincinnati, died May 4. He was a Mechanic. He was preceded in death by mother, Magdalene; father, Harry; and sons, Bobby and Steven.
Carrie L. Markins, 60, of Batavia, died May 3. Carrie is survived by son, Troy; daughter, Lisa; sisters, Kay and Christy; brothers, Gordon, Jerry, and Terry; randchildren, Taylor and Danielle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Doris Marie Smith, 86, of Milford, died April 27. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ethel (nee Penny) Beckelheimer.
Patricia Ann Jeffers, 54, of Jackson Township, died April 30 in Batavia Township. She was a homemaker. Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Willoughby.
Charles Edward Hetterick, 81, of Moscow, died May 6. He was a veteran of WWII, charter member, past Chief and current Assistant Chief for Washington Twp. Fire Dep., and a retired Postmaster of Moscow.
Anna Cecilia Cmehil, 91, of Bethel, died April 26. She was a Homemaker. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Balaz; husband, Steve; brother, Steve, and sister, Mary Rose.
Stephen H. Baker, 60, of Union Township, died May 4. He was a retired Teacher. He is survived by parents, Harold and Hazel; wife, Cheryl; son, Scott; daughter, Julie; brothers, Curtis and Keith; sister, Maureen; and two grandchildren.
