Local civic leader Brunk dies at 78

Local civic leader, community volunteer, and devoted family man, Elmer Brunk has died at the age of 78. He lived his life in Pierce Township and accomplished many things. He was a Mason with the Linwood Lodge, a member of the Eastern Star, and a veteran of the Army and the Coast Guard. He started his career as a pipe-fitter and for 10 years he installed fire and water systems. For 30 years after that, he made partitions and corrugated products at the Williamsburg Box Company.
