Betty A. (nee Gifford) Loux, 79, Batavia, died Feb. 8, 2006. She was preceded in death by her sister Caryl Coombs.
Joseph A. Roflow, 83, of Bethel, died Feb. 7, 2006. He was born May 25, 1922, the son of the late Joseph William and Grace Marie (Cochran) Roflow. After retiring from General Motors, he operated the family hardware store in Georgetown. He also worked as a police office in Bethel.
Eugenia Fitch, 91, of Miami Township, died Feb. 12, 2006. She wrote versus for greeting card companies.
Irvin Edward Gardner, 69, of Batavia, died Feb. 10, 2006. He was the devoted husband of Judi Ann (nee Samad) Gardner for 49 years. He was the son of the late William E. and Helen I. Gardner of Amelia.
Vona Erlene Hines, 91, of Sevierville, Tenn., died Feb. 11, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert; son-in-law, Elbert; sister, Sybil; brothers Denzil, Wavel; and mother, Gethal.
John J. Barker, 74, of Goshen, died Feb. 9, 2006. He served in the Army, and was a retired truck driver from Gordon Transport.
Velma Faye Adams, 73, of Wayne Township, died Feb. 11, 2006. She was a Lathe operator for US Precision Lens. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Moore.
Edward Warren Marks Sr., 84, of Hamersville, died Feb. 4, 2006. He was born Sept. 18, 1921, the son of the late William Edward and Ina Mae (Carter) Marks. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers during World War II where he fought for five years and earned four Bronze Stars.
Gladys E. Hancock, 98, of Bethel, died Feb. 6, 2006. She was born Oct. 6, 1907, the daughter of the late Wilbur D. and Harriet (Lindsey) Hancock. She was a factory worker for Siemens and Allis Chalmers.
