Theodore Brian “Ted” Mays, 67, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2009. Mr. Mays was the owner of Ohio Valley Helicopters. E. C. Nurre Funeral Home, in Amelia, served the family.

Lucille Moore, 81, of Milford, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, in Edgewood, Ky. She had been a lead lady at Mosler Safe Company. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at Evans Funeral Home, in Milford.

Helen Lavena Day Conner, 86, of Bethel, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 12, at E. C. Nurre Funeral Home, in Bethel.

Marlin Devoll, 80

Marlin Ray Devoll, 80, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009. He was born Aug. 29, 1928. Visitation was held 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8 with funeral services following the visitation at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home, in Amelia.

James Parson Jr., 60

James W. Parson Jr., 60, of Bethel, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009. He was born July 23, 1948, the son of James and Doris Parson. Funeral services were held Jan. 8 at E. C. Nurre Funeral Home, in Bethel.

Lois Hughey, 81

Lois Erion Hughey, 81, of Salisbury, N.C., died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, N.C. rs. Hughey was educated at Batavia schools and was a graduate of Wilmington College. She was an elementary school teacher in Batavia for 30 years.

Toby Gadzinski, 31

Toby Allen Gadzinski, 31, formerly of Milford, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, in Naples. He was a food service worker in a restaurant. Funeral services were held Jan. 2, 2009 at Evans Funeral Home.

Jerry Parsons, 72

Jerry K. Parsons, 72, of Bethel, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Larry Parsons. Masonic funeral services were held Jan. 4 and funeral services were held Jan. 5, at E. C. Nurre Funeral Home, in Bethel.

William Palmer Sr., 85

William Leroy Palmer Sr., 85, a resident of Jackson Township, died Dec. 31, 2008, in Jackson Township. He had been a maintenance engineer for Union Oil Company and served as a gunners mate second class in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Raymond Blice III, 58

Raymond E. Blice III, 58, of Williamsburg, formerly of Plainville, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009 in Georgetown. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict. He was a car salesman.
