Merl J. Peugh, 78, of New Richmond, died Friday, July 3, 2009. Visitation will be held 1 – 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at E. C. Nurre Funeral Home, in Amelia. Funeral services will follow the visitation.

Robert Gilkison, 59

Robert Lester Gilkison, 59, of Stonelick Township, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, in Batavia. He served in the U. S. Army during Vietnam and was active in the Dennis Johnson VFW Post 6582. Mr. Gilkison was a self-employed construction worker.

Russell Shelton, 83

Russell L. Shelton, 83, of Batavia, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009. Funeral services were held June 27, at E. C. Nurre Funeral Home, in Amelia. Interment at Spring Grove Cemetery.

Marilyn R. Steward Marks, 66, of Bethel, died suddenly Thursday, June 25, 2009. Funeral services were held June 29, at E. C. Nurre Funeral Home, in Bethel.

Christie Lynn Schwieter, 48, of Milford, died Friday, June 26, 2009, in Anderson Township. She worked as a teacher for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Preschool. Funeral services were held June 30, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.

Gudrun J. Tolin, 91, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Funeral services were held June 27, at E. C. Nurre Funeral Home, in Bethel, with graveside services held at Shinkles Ridge Cemetery.

Mary Sue Northup, 68

Mary Sue Northup, 68, of Bethel, died Friday, June 26, 2009. Graveside services were held June 29, at Tate Township Cemetery, in Bethel. E. C. Nurre Funeral Home, in Bethel, served the family.

Joseph Tone, 81

Joseph Edward Tone, 81, of Miami Township, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009, in Milford. Mr. Tone served as a technician fifth grade in the U. S. Army during World War II. He worked as an insurance agent for Western Southern Life.

Adam Brzeczka, 91

Adam J. Brzeczka, 91, of Western Hills, died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at his residence. Mr. Brzeczka served in the Polish Army and was a POW for six years before immigrating to the United States in 1950. He was a retired engineer and an avid bowler.
