Ralph J. Spicer, 72, of Milford, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, in Montgomery. Mr. Spicer retired after 22 years service as an auto worker for General Motors. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Sue Schutte, 85, of Milford, died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009, in Blue Ash. Mrs. Schutte had worked as an inspector with U.S. Playing Cards. Funeral services were held Aug. 19, at Evans Funeral Home. Interment at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Evendale.
Varna Huston Waddle, 71, of Goshen, died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, in Anderson Township. Mr. Waddle had worked as a pressman for Diamond International. Funeral services were held Aug. 18 at the Waddle Family Cemetery in Somerset, Ky.
Verna Rachel Burger, 87, of Williamsburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, in Pike Township. Mrs. Burger was a cook for Williamsburg schools and a lifetime member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church.
Donald Woods, 74, of Anderson Township, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009. Memorial services were held Aug. 14, at Evans Funeral Home in Milford. Interment at Plainview Cemetery in Newtonsville.
Bernard L. Smith Jr., 73, of Williamsburg, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009. He was retired from Allis Chalmers after 44 years of service. Funeral services were held Aug. 11 at Moore Family Funeral Home in Batavia.
Mary Elizabeth Black, 93, of Wayne Township, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, in Blanchester. Mrs. Black served as a Wayne Township trustee for more than 10 years. She worked at R.C.A and Clinton Memorial Hospital.
Nancy F. Foster Parks, 68, of Bethel, died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009. Funeral services were held Aug. 15, at Saltair Church of Christ. Memorials may be made to Saltair Church of Christ or the Bethel-Tate Life Squad.
James J. Waldfogle, 73, of Bethel, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009. He was born March 1, 1936. Mass of Christian burial was held Aug. 14, at St. Mary Church in Bethel. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Robert L. West, 72, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009. Mr. West retired from Ford Motor Company after 37 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the New Harmony 435 F&AM Lodge.
