Candidates vie to fill three seats on Clermont Northeastern board

The CNE School Board has three open seats this election, with three incumbents seeking to remain seated on the board against a single challenger. Hoping to remain are Jayne Mummert, Patricia Spencer and Mike Freeman, while challenger Danny Ilhardt is hoping to become a new member of the board of education.

Harold Price, 78, of Goshen Township, died Sept. 19, 2007. He was a truck driver at Freight Transportation and a Korean War Army veteran. Funeral services were held Sept. 22 at the Evans Funeral Home.

Helen Garcia, 88, died Sept. 19, 2007. Funeral services were held Sept. 22 at the E.C. Nurre Funeral Home in Amelia.

Thomas E. Reardon, 74

Thomas Edward Reardon, 74, of Miami Township, died Sept. 21, 2007. He was an automotive sales manager and a U.S. Army veteran. Funeral services were held Sept. 25 at the Evans Funeral Home.

Leslie L. Reffit, 31, died Sept. 15, 2007. Visitation and funeral services were held Sept. 21 at the E.C. Nurre Funeral Home. Interment followed at the Batavia Union Cemetery.

David W. Bickett, 89

David W. Bickett, 89, of Williamsburg, died Sept. 10, 2007. He was a retired letter carrier for the Newtown Post Office and a U.S. Army WWII veteran. Funeral services were held Sept. 15 at the St. Ann Church in Williamsburg. He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Bickett. He is survived by wife, Frances (nee Vaughn) Bickett; daughters, Frances Pope and Theresa Fee; sons, David, Gregory, Michael, and Thomas Bickett.
