A 4-year-old was killed in a crash in Goshen Township on June 5, according to the Batavia post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred on at 5:05 p.m. on Fay Road, west of state Route 48 in Goshen, OSHP said.

Police said the investigation so far revealed that Vivian A. Miracle, 24, of Goshen, was driving a 2007 Lincoln MKX west on Fay Road, with 4-year-old Aliyah R. Miracle, also of Goshen.

Miracle then drove off the right side of the roadway and hit a tree, with medical assistance required to free both from the vehicle, OSHP said.

Police said seat belts were in use at the time of the crash.
