Thomas Michael Krecskay, 71, Townsend, TN passed away Friday, May 26, 2016 in Johnson City. A native of Cincinnati, OH, he was a son of the late Michael Krecskay and Mary Voigtlander Jackson. Mr. Krecskay proudly served his country in the United Stated Air Force. Afterwards, he worked for GM Motors and owned Eagle Creek Auto Sales in Ripley, OH, where he retired as an auto-mechanic. Mr. Krecskay loved working on cars and could be found racing on the Drag Strip where he was known as “Super Thom”. He never met a stranger and loved talking to and being around other people. Mr. Krecskay also enjoyed camping and fishing. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 104, in Sevierville, TN and also attended Pathways Church in Sevierville. In addition to his parents, Mr. Krecskay is preceded in death by his wife, Kandy Krecskay, one sister, Gwen Seaver, and one brother, Frankie Krecskay.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving companion of 22 years, Kathy Robinson; children Thomas “Tommy” Krecskay, Jr. and his wife Kristal, John Robinson, Michael Robinson, and Monica Mockus; grandchildren, Brenna, Andrew US Army, Jessica and her husband Chris, Owen, Quinlan, Kaitlyn, and John “Little Jack” US Air Force; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Steve Krecskay US Navy and his wife, Kellie and Henry Jackson US Army and his wife, Dana; one sister, Mary Galloway and her husband, Clayton; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the VA Medical Center for the loving care given to Mr. Krecskay.

A Committal Service with Military Honors was held for Mr. Krecskay at 10:00AM on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Dr. Clayton Galloway, Sr. officiated. Family and Friends served as pallbearers. For those who prefer, in lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be given in memory of Mr. Krecskay to The American Legion, Post 104, 403 W Main Street, Sevierville, TN 37862.
