The Board of Education of the West Clermont Local School District is proud to announce that Mr. Mike Overbey has been selected as the new Assistant Superintendent.

Mr. Overbey comes to West Clermont after serving the last two years as the Principal at Anderson High School in the Forrest Hills Local School District.

This is a bit of a homecoming for Mr. Overbey as he spent an early part of his 22 year career in education as a teacher at Glen Este Middle School from 1998-2001.

“I am excited and humbled to the join the West Clermont team as Assistant Superintendent”, said Mr. Overbey.

He added, “I appreciate the opportunity given to me by the Board of Education and Dr. Kline. I look forward to serving the students, parents, community and staff as we begin the journey to bring the district together as one West Clermont Middle School and High School in the 2017/2018 school year.”

Mr. Overbey brings a total of 12 years of administrative experience to West Clermont.

Prior to serving as Principal at Anderson, he was in the Wyoming City School District where he served as Assistant Principal at Wyoming High School, eLearning Leader for the district, and Principal of Wyoming Middle School.

He also has served as Assistant Principal at Norwood High School in the Norwood City Schools.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mike to the Administrative team here in West Clermont”, said Dr. Keith Kline, Superintendent. “Mike brings a wealth of administrative experience along with a great passion and vision for teaching and learning to our district. His leadership will be key as we continue to raise the academic bar for all students in West Clermont.”

Mr. Overbey’s contract with the West Clermont Local Schools will begin on August 1st, 2017.
