The Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter is seeking donations to assist one of their own.

On April 5, during a storm, an FFA member and their family lost their home and nearly all of their belongings.

John and Amanda Widmeyer’s home outside of Buford was completely destroyed.

They have five children residing in their home with them. They did not have insurance on the house and will need assistance to replace their home.

Currently, our FFA is hosting a household collection drive.

The family is in need of the following items: personal care items, dishes, pot, pans, towels, wash clothes, dish towels, kitchen table and chairs, end tables, dressers, TV, couch, queen or full size mattress and box springs, bed frames. Clothing items that are needed include: Size 10 & 12 husky boy’s pants, size 8/10 & 12/14 boy’s shirts, Size 3 & 5 Junior jeans, ladies small & medium shirts, size 9 ladies pants, men’s 36×34 & 48 jeans, and men’s medium & 4X shirts. Socks are needed in large boys, medium/large women’s, and men’s large socks.

There has been a You Caring campaign set up if you would like to make a monetary donation online at www.youcaring.com/johnamandawidmeyerfamily-794211. Monetary donations can be sent to Lynchburg-Clay FFA at 6762 St. Rt. 134 S. Lynchburg, OH 45142.
