Mercy Health Cincinnati, which provides advanced, quality care with compassion in your neighborhood through its care network, announces that it has named Kenneth James the President of Clermont Hospital, which is located at 3000 Hospital Drive in Batavia, Ohio 45103.

James assumed the role on December 5 and reports to Jeff Graham, Mercy Health East Market President and CEO.

“We’re pleased to welcome Ken to the East Market and to Clermont Hospital, where he will be responsible for the day-today operations of the hospital,” said Graham. “Ken has an impressive background that demonstrates a focus on growth strategies, physician relations, employee satisfaction, clinical operations and the safe delivery of high quality health care and that makes him a great addition to the East Market leadership team.”

James comes to Mercy Health with 18 years of healthcare management experience.

Most recently, he served as CEO of Harton Hospital in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Previously, he was Market Chief Executive Officer of Missouri’s Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, which is located across three campuses and has eight rural health clinics. He also served as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Associate Administrator of Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center, located in Kennett, MO.

James began his career as a radiologic technology instructor before moving into the management of a wide array of hospital departments, including the cath lab, admitting, medical imaging and the stress and sleep labs.

He has a bachelor’s degree in radiology from the University of LouisianaMonroe and a master’s degree in industrial/organization management from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA.

James and his wife Marilyn have two sons.
