A Miami Township man was indicted by the Grand Jury of the Court of Common Pleas on Oct. 4 for two counts.
Jason Campbell, 58, was indicted for one count of rape, a first-degree felony, and one count of gross sexual imposition, a third-degree felony, a result of two incidents that occurred with one 7-year-old victim on June 19 and 20. The Miami Township Police brought the case to the prosecutor’s office, said Assistant Prosecutor Scott O’Reilly.
This case is part of a multi-jurisdictional investigation with prosecutors in Montgomery County, Tennessee, and Fairfield County, Ohio. Campbell has prior convictions for attempted gross sexual imposition in Franklin County, Ohio, in 1991.
Campbell is currently in the Clermont County Jail. His pre-trial is scheduled for Oct. 17, O’Reilly said.
