All 10 Clermont County schools now have at least some idea who they will face in the first round of sectional tournament play next week.
Match-ups for the boys’ sectional soccer tournament were released on Oct. 9, and in Division I Glen Este drew a first-round bye. The Trojans will face the winner of Anderson and Western Hills on Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.
Also in Division I, Amelia drew a first-round tilt at Little Miami. The Barons will face the Panthers at 7 p.m. on Oct. 17. That same night, Milford will travel to Moeller for their sectional opener. That game also begins at 7 p.m.
In Division II, Goshen travels to Indian Hill for their opening-round game at 7 p.m. on Oct. 17. Batavia hosts Reading and New Richmond hosts Waynesville that same night. The Bulldogs and Lions will each start their respective games at 7 p.m.
The four remaining Clermont schools compete in Division III. Felicity-Franklin travels to Fayetteville for their opening-round tilt on Monday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. That same night, the Bethel-Tate Tigers host the Ripley Blue Jays, Williamsburg travels to Roger Bacon, and Clermont Northeastern visits Madeira. Those three contests are also 7 p.m. starts.
