As the regular season continues to draw to a close, several county teams find themselves in tight races in the Southern Buckeye Athletic and Academic Conference.

In the American Division, Amelia and New Richmond are tied with identical 6-1-1 records in the conference. The two squads battled to a 2-2 draw on Tuesday, Sept. 27, one of several major battles on the pitch this week.

That same day, the Bethel-Tate Lady Tigers earned a 4-0 win over Felicity-Franklin and Batavia defeated Goshen 3-0. Clermont Northeastern and Blanchester ended in a scoreless tie.

In the Eastern Cincinnati Conference, Glen Este and Milford finished their match tied at two.

Amelia returned to action on Wednesday, Sept. 28 against Goshen, earning a 10-0 victory in the process.

New Richmond defeated Norwood 3-0 on Sept. 29 to keep pace with the Lady Barons. CNE earned a 4-0 win over Bethel-Tate, while Batavia battled Western Brown to a 1-1 draw.

Milford took a trip out of conference play, falling to Lakota West 4-1. Glen Este defeated Winton Woods 5-0. The Lady Trojans would fall to Ross 3-1 on Monday, Oct. 3.

Key showdowns are up and down the schedule for Thursday, Oct. 6. New Richmond visits Goshen, Clermont Northeastern hosts Felicity-Franklin and Williamsburg battles Bethel-Tate. Those three matches begin at 5 p.m. Western Brown at Amelia and Norwood at Batavia are 7 p.m. starts.
