Mercy Health – Cincinnati, which provides advanced, quality, compassionate care in your neighborhood through its care network, invites the community to attend an open house celebrating the completion of construction at Anderson Hospital.

The Community Open House takes place from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, at the hospital, located at 7500 State Road at the corner of Five Mile Road.

Parking is available across the street from the hospital at the Anderson HealthPlex, 7495 State Road, with shuttle service to the hospital.

“The community of Anderson Township has been so supportive of our expansion project that we wanted to give something back. We invite the community to join us as we complete construction and prepare to open our new tower to patients,” said Jeff Graham, Mercy Health East Market President and CEO. “We’ve renovated our campus to be more welcoming and patient-friendly. Open house visitors can tour our new patient tower, which is the centerpiece of our campus.”

Tours will include visits to the:

• Lobby, including coffee shop and history wall, designed by Nagel Middle School students
• Cardiovascular Unit
• Medical Surgical/ Telemetry Unit
• Chapel
• Healing garden

Light refreshments will be available, as well as a host of fun family activities, including face painting, coloring station, Great Parks of Hamilton County naturalist and animal visit, among others.

“The tower is new but our mission of service and commitment to compassionate care remains the same,” added Graham. “We look forward to continuing to serve our neighbors.”

The $74 million expansion adds 90 private patient rooms, an 18-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, a 21-bed medical-surgical intensive care unit, an expanded surgical suite and three new 30-bed units devoted to surgical and orthopedic patients in a five-story, 150,000 square foot tower. Other renovations took place in the Family Birthing Center, operating suites and cafeteria.

The tower opens for patients on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016.
