Union Township finished improvements to the Park and Ride, located at 4350 Aicholtz Road, recently, a year long process.

The Park and Ride now has a concrete pad for buses to park on, is Wi-Fi capable and has a charging station. The renovation also included some base repairs and some repairs to the parking lot. In addition, a seal coat will be put on the parking lot in the fall.

“It’s a very heavily used Park and Ride,” said Trustee John McGraw, adding that he’s proud of that.

McGraw has not heard from any Park and Ride users, but believes they will like the improvements.

The township partnered with the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority to pay for the improvements. SORTA gave the township a grant for $120,000 and the township paid $85,000, for a total of $205,000 in improvements.
