Over 200 people attended the “Great Futures Celebration” to benefit the three Boys & Girls Clubs located in Clermont County.

This annual event raised over $70,000 to support the programs and services at the Boys & Girls Clubs in New Richmond, Amelia Middle School and Glen Este Middle School.

The evening included a lively balloon auction— balloons were auction off to support specific programs and services including: sending kids to summer camp, providing school supplies, sponsoring memberships for Club Kids, and funding hot meals that are provided every day for Club Kids.

This year’s Junior Youth of The Year from the New Richmond Club, Ruth Tvrdy, spoke to the crowd about how belonging to the Boys & Girls Clubs has greatly impacted her life.

President of the Clermont County Boys & Girls Clubs Board of Advisors, Bob Pautke states, “Ruth’s story is a true inspiration to all of us and is a testimony to the real need we have in Clermont County for the Boys & Girls Clubs. The Clubs enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, car- ing, responsible citizens of Clermont County.”

The evening also included a presentation by keynote speaker, Karen Forgus, Senior Vice President of Business Operations for the Cincinnati Reds.
