Clermont Hospital is currently seeking volunteers in the following areas:

• Messengers: Volunteers needed in the morning and afternoon to greet patients and families as they arrive at the facility, provide general information and serve as a hospital and physician resource for patients and families. Shifts run 8 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m.

• Char Mae Gift Shop: Volunteers needed as to serve as clerks and care for customers, patients and families. Saturday, Sunday and evening shifts available.

• Surgery Waiting Room: The outpatient surgery waiting room needs a desk clerk to assist the surgery department in caring for in the waiting room as with minor clerical work. Available shift is 8 a.m.-noon on Thursday.

• Circle of Caring: Circle of Caring volunteers visit patient rooms and deliver books, puzzles and magazines. They also visit with patients, fill water pitchers and provide other comforts for the patients. Weekend and late afternoon shifts available.

• Clerical Assistance: The hospital has several clerical positions open in Medical Staffing, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Wound Care and Plant Maintenance/Housekeeping. Available shifts are 8 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m.

You will receive orientation and training to help you get started and become comfortable in the hospital environment.

Volunteer opportunities are available to adults and teens over the age of 16. We interview all applicants to assess interests and skills. We strive to create a sensitive and appropriate match between the volunteer and the area of need.
