One of the worst heroin epidemics in Ohio is happening in Clermont County. Coupled with alcohol and other addictions, it is a scourge that transcends racial and economic boundaries; white, black, rich, poor — it doesn’t matter.

Winning the fight against addiction in Clermont County will require more treatment and recovery housing to be made available. To help fill this vital need, a fundraiser is being held to create a faith-based recovery center in Clermont County for those suffering from heroin, alcohol and other addictions.

The fundraiser will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016, 6-10 p.m. at Receptions 4450 Eastgate South Dr., Cincinnati, Ohio 45245. Guest speakers will include Ohio State Senator Joe Ueker, Ohio State Rep. Doug Green and his wife Norma, Beth Stewart, award winning author and host of Christian radio talk show on WCVX 1160AM, James and Letha Turner, Lord’s Gym and various treatment specialists. Music will be provided by Live Past Life. Dale Campfield, pastor of Eastgate Community Church, will emcee the event.

The fundraiser will include raffles and auctions plus a banquet featuring choice of slow roasted beef with red wine, chicken parmesan, three side dishes, a salad and drinks. Banquet tickets are $45 per person or $75 per couple. You can order tickets on our secure page http://www.brandenscauseoutreach.com/harvest-time-fundraiser.html. Facebook users can go to https://www.facebook.com/pages/Brandens-Cause- Outreach/309950402382618. If you have special needs in ordering tickets, please contact Kim Lewis at 513-638-8232 or brandenscauseoutreach@yahoo.com. Pick up your tickets at the door or have them mailed directly to you. Deadline for ordering tickets is May 30, 2016.

Discounted tickets can be purchased at Sam’s Club in Eastgate on May 19 from 12-4 p.m. Single tickets will be $35 and pair tickets will be $60. Those who would like to attend but would not like dinner can purchase tickets for $20 or $10 for seniors.

Donations are being accepted for the General Building Fund, as well as for gifts and prizes to be offered in the raffles/auctions. For a $100 donation, individuals, businesses or churches can sponsor a table at the banquet. Donations can also be made at any Fifth-Third Bank under the name Branden’s Cause Outreach.
