Foote
New Richmond High School athletic director Doug Foote has received three prestigious local, state and national awards.

Mr. Foote, who is a board member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s Southwest District Board, was named Southwest District’s Athletic Administrator of the Year by the Southwest Ohio Athletic Directors Association; the Meritorious Service Award recipient by the Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association; and the Award of Merit given by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.

Each year, SWOADA recognizes and honors individuals within the Association for their dedication to the student/athletes, schools and communities they serve.

The OIAAA Meritorious Service Award is presented in recognition of special contributions, leadership and service to interscholastic athletics in Ohio at the local and state levels.

The SWOADA Athletic Director(s) of the Year is presented to an individual(s) who exemplify the highest standards of their profession and who, through their influence on the lives of young people under their direction, has made significant contributions to their school and community.

The NIAAA State Award of Merit is presented to a NIAAA member in each state in recognition of meritorious service, leadership, and special contributions to interscholastic athletics at the state and local level.

“It comes as no surprise to me that Mr. Foote would be honored by his peers,” said NRHS Principal Mark Bailey. “His involvement in these organizations at the state level is indicative of his strong commitment to excellence in high school athletics, and his nominations should be considered an honor for him and New Richmond High School.

“His involvement gives our school district a voice and I appreciate his dedication and leadership.”
