A March 24 crash on state Route 32 killed a Union Township man.

Frank Shockley III, 36, was driving a 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo east on state Route 32 at about 8:30 a.m. when he drove over the center median and stuck a 2001 Hyundai Elantra, driven by Katelyn Horn, 27 of Erlanger, head on, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Batavia Post.

Horn was flown to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where she stayed until March 27 with serious leg injuries. Shockley was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the OSHP.

Shockley was not wearing a safety belt.

The accident is still under investigation. The coroner has not released a cause of death or stated if drugs or alcohol were involved yet.
