This year’s March of Dimes ambassadors are the Lutfieh Family from Cincinnati.
On May 14, 2016 at Miami Meadows Park in Milford, Ohio, families and local business leaders will join together in the Clermont County March for Babies.

As the March of Dimes signature event fundraiser, March for Babies supports our mission of improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Each year, individual walkers, family and corporate teams enjoy joining together in a shared purpose to support the work of the March of Dimes.

The chairperson for this year’s event is Danielle Thiel, Banking Center Manager for Park National Bank. “As a business leader, this campaign gives me and Park National Bank a unique opportunity to help the community that I love. And as a mother and passionate supporter of the Clermont County community, I can’t think of a more important cause than our babies,” said Ms. Thiel, who will be asking other local businesses for their support in the coming months. “One in ten of our babies are born premature, and that’s just not acceptable. It takes leaders in our community working together to ensure more moms have healthy pregnancies.”

March for Babies is a fun filled Saturday morning that offers activities for the whole family, continuous entertainment, a “Kids Zone” and plenty of food. The walk itself is a three mile route through the beautiful Miami Meadows Park. People of all ages are welcome and the park is pet, stroller, and wheelchair friendly. This year’s ambassadors are the Lutfieh Family from Cincinnati. This family has experienced the loss of two babies and knows first-hand the devastation of premature birth.

They want to share their story in hopes that other mothers and fathers won’t have to experience prematurity and the complications it can cause and for some day, every baby is born healthy. “The March of Dimes isn’t just about the research and the medicine,” said Mohammodieh. “It’s not all monetary and statistics. It’s about the babies, about the people, about the grief and the joy. It is a community where you are not alone in your story or your sorrow.”

The 2016 Clermont County March for Babies is looking for participants for the event. These can be individuals, corporate or family teams that help raise money that want to support this cause.
