Clermont County Farm Bureau was pleased to have Jan & Carl Schoellman attend Ag Day at the Capitol, in Columbus on Feb. 9.

The event provided an opportunity for members to learn about issues facing their lawmakers, interact with their elected officials and to get an inside look at the government. It began with a keynote address from Attorney General Mike DeWine discussing the drug epidemic facing Ohio, a news release states.

Members broke out into groups and were able to meet with their elected officials and engage with them on the topics of CAUV, discussing an objective formula that will accurately value agricultural use, and water quality, touching on the concept of a voter approved bond measure with the creation of a water trust.
