Milford High School senior Rachel Berger, a member of the golf, cross country and track & field teams was recently awarded the Evans Scholarship from the Ohio State University. The Chick Evans Scholarship is a full tuition and housing college scholarship for golf caddies.
Evans Scholars are selected based on their strong caddie record, excellent grades, outstanding character and demonstrated financial need. In addition to these criteria, the Evans Scholars are a group of people connected by a sense of pride, determination and community.
Rachel plans to student Industrial Design in college and has taken 11 AP courses in high school, including seven during her senior year. She has been a caddie for three years at Terrace Park Country Club and is also active in Key Club, National Honor Society and Girl Scouts. Her golf accomplishments include being named to the All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference team three times, including twice on the second team. She was also a part of three conference championship teams.
