A Williamsburg man accused of inappropriate actions with a minor was arrested on Feb. 5.

Michael Workman, age 41, is charged with two counts of rape, felonies of the first degree, and two counts of gross sexual imposition, felonies of the fourth degree because of one incident, said Assistant Prosecutor Scott O’Reilly.

On Nov. 15, 2015, Workman alleged performed oral sex on a 13-year-old. The child and the child’s family went to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office and the deputies ran an investigation. Workman is not related to the alleged victim, O’Reilly said.

Workman is currently at the Clermont County Jail. His bond was set at $250,000. He pleaded not guilty on Feb. 12 and will have a pre-trial hearing on Feb. 22 with Judge Jerry McBride.

If Workman received the maximum penalties, he would be in jail for 11 years, pay a $20,000 fine and have to register as a Tier III sex offender for life, O’Reilly said in an email.
