Caitlyn Servitto, Liz Marcelli
Six Great Oaks/Amelia High School students (Maddie Boyd, Liz Marcelli, Caitlyn Servitto, Emma McGaha, Caitlyn Keith, and Hailey Davis) tested and interviewed for a Business Professionals of America (BPA) state office on October 19, 2015 in Columbus.

These students prepared a professional portfolio and speech to be given in front of a panel of judges for the opportunity for run for a state office.

“We received exciting news that week that Liz Marcelli and Caitlyn Servitto were chosen to be a candidate to run for state office!” said instructor Becky Landen. On November 19 Liz and Caitlyn, along with their supporters from Amelia High School, attended the BPA Fall Conference where they campaigned and gave a speech to the members from across the state on video and in person to become an Ohio Association Business Professionals of America state office. During the conference all members attended and presented seminars over various business, college, community service and career topics.

“While Liz and Caitlyn did not earn the popular vote our chapter is proud of their accomplishments,” said Landen. The two now have the opportunity to interview to run as national candidates from Ohio in March.

The students are in the Great Oaks Business Management program at Amelia High School.
