The Williamsburg Wildcats carried over their 2015 momentum to 2016 by winning the East Clinton Dual Tournament last week.
The Wildcats went 5-0 in their matches, besting Piqua High School in the championship, 31-24.
Burg opened up the tournament with 49-22 win over Hamilton Badin and followed that up with wins over North College Hill (57-6), Indian Hill (63-12) and the hosts, East Clinton (48-23) to advance to the finals.
Undefeated wrestlers for the event were Dawson Davis, Brian Stears, Trevor Berry, Dylan Bailey, Randy Thornberry and Kendal Johnson.
Johnson’s finals victory was his 134th career win, putting him 13 shy of the school record and 24 short of Aric Peters’ (Bethel-Tate, ‘15) county record for career wins.
