The Queen City Blood Drive, held on January 26, 2016, is pleased to announce the addition of two new sponsors to the annual blood drive. The Cincinnati Cyclones and Fleet Feet Sports will be joining forces with Duke Energy Convention Center, Tri Health, the Flying Pig Marathon, Spectra, LAZ Parking and Donato’s Pizza.

“The Queen City Blood Drive brings together the people of Greater Cincinnati to show pride in our town and save lives at the same time,” said Alecia Lipton, Hoxworth spokesperson. “This blood drive is held in the heart of the city to showcase how important our mission is to those who live, work, and play downtown.”

In years past, the Cincinnati Cyclones have held a blood drive at U.S. Bank Arena, but due to the cold from the ice rink and unpredictable January weather, the Duke Energy Convention Center makes for a better blood drive location for loyal Cyclones fans and donors. All donors will get a free Queen City Blood Drive t-shirt, as well as a pair Cyclones tickets, Free Donato’s Pizza, a Flying Pig Premium Gift Bag with a $10 gift certificate from Fleet Feet, among other great items.

Due to the anticipated popularity of this event, appointments are encouraged; though walk-ins are welcome. Donors can schedule appointments by calling 513-451-0910 or by scheduling online at: www.hoxworth.org/queencity.
