A two night celebration of the fine art of barrel aging happening Friday, Jan. 15 and Saturday, Jan. 16 from 7-9 p.m., Jungle Jim’s Barrel Aged Beer Bash is a singular opportunity for beer enthusiasts to enjoy some truly unique beverages.
Some things only get better with age. Beer, it just so happens, is one of them. Join specialty beer lovers and sample from a collection of rare and limited beverages, and expect the unexpected as you walk the floor.
Attendees will encounter beers aged in a wide variety of barrels whiskey, wine, and others each of them creating surprising and sometimes unpredictable flavors.
Over 80 types of barrel aged beer will be available, many of them special or secret recipes that highlight the complex, often surprising, always interesting flavors brought out by aging beers in previously used barrels. Coming straight from some of the brewer’s personal cellars, festival goers won’t see many of these beers available outside of their respective breweries, and most of them won’t be bottled, either, so our Barrel Aged Beer Bash might be their only chance to try some of them! Those attending this fantastic fest will get a commemorative glass, as well, so they’ll be ready to sample from some truly outrageous brews in style.
Jungle Jim’s Barrel Aged Beer Bash started out as a simple tasting for a reason these are flavorful, but heavy drinks. It turned into a festival for the same reasons. It might only be a couple of hours long, but these beverages are not for the faint of heart, so we encourage festival goers to plan accordingly and drink responsibly.
The event will be held at The Oscar Event Center, Fairfield Location, 5440 Dixie Highway in Fairfield. Admission is $40 per day, or $15 per day for a non-drinker.
