The Williamsburg Board of Education recognized Beth McManus during the Dec. 21 board meeting for her 12 years of service to our board. She chose not to run again to spend more time with her family and increased responsibilities at work. Beth was sworn in Jan. 12, 2004 and served with 11 board members, three treasurers and three superintendents. Beth served as VP of the board in 2006 and 2007 and President of the Board from 2008-2013 serving 6 years in that capacity. At the board meeting last night, all of the board members, Treasurer, and Superintendent shared memories and several words of thanks and gratitude to Beth. Also, Ohio State Representative Doug Green presented Beth with a Proclamation of Thanks from the Ohio House and Mayor of Williamsburg MaryAnn Lefker presented a proclamation of thanks and declared Dec. 21 Beth McManus Day in the village of Williamsburg.
