Pierce Police will be holding their first ever Citizens Police Academy class in 2016.

The program is a ten week course that allows attendees to interact with police officers while they learn about the day-to-day operations of the police department.

Classes meet for three hours one night per week, and are provided at no charge to attendees.  Applicants must be 18 years old or older by the start date of the academy and must have a valid Ohio driver’s license.

The department is accepting applications for the class until Feb. 1, 2016.  To download the application and to find more information visit the township’s website at www.piercetownship.org/police/programs/citizens-police-academy/.
