Matt Lisa and his staff from Red Robin Gourmet Burgers of Milford were presented with the 2015 Business Advisory Council “Employer of the Year” award at the Clermont Chamber of Commerce Breakfast on Wednesday, October 21.

“There are currently four individuals from our agency working at Red Robin,” said Dan Ottke, Superintendent of the Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities (CCDD).

“Matt and his staff believe that any new employee should learn to be as independent as possible from the very beginning of the training process. They work well with CCDD Job Coaches to ensure each individual gets the most out of their training experience.”

Lisa is the General Manager at Red Robin. He and his staff provide encouragement, support, and constructive criticism to each and every individual that has been hired from CCDD. They go above and beyond to assist with workplace and scheduling accommodations for individuals they hire from CCDD. They take time to support each individual’s needs and abilities while providing a safe, secure, and pleasant work environment.

“The Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities appreciates the successful partnership with Red Robin in helping people with developmental disabilities gain meaningful skills and experience through community employment,” said Ottke.

The speaker for the Clermont Chamber of Commerce breakfast was Natalie Fiscus, President of Fiscus Trucking and Excavating. Fiscus discussed her business, how she got started in the trucking industry, and how the birth of her son, David, gave her family hope and courage. David has special needs, and it is through his various schedules plus her busy career that has given their family added strength and a new vision for everything they do.
