The 35th Annual Amelia Christmas Parade is scheduled for Dec. 13, 2-4:40 p.m. following a route from the new Muenchens Furniture parking lot to the new Kroger at 125 and Amelia Olive Branch.

We are very excited about the plans for the parade this year and believe it will be memorable for all involved!

This year we are happy to announce that we will have a teacher representing the three local elementary schools as our Grand Marshals. We believe they represent what is positive about our community in their service in educating our children.

The representatives are:

Anita Vaughn, Holly Hill Elementary

Anita currently teaches First Grade as part of her 31 years at Holly Hill. Anita shares that she loves her job and tries to make learning meaningful and fun for all of her students.

She considers it a privilege to be a part of her Husky family.

Tracey Love, Merwin Elementary

Tracey currently teaches Third Grade math and science and has been teaching in West Clermont for 15 years. Tracey is an Amelia High School graduate who attended Ohio University and taught at Amelia Middle School before joining the Merwin staff.

Tracey’s sons Mason and Parker are her greatest joy and a close second are the wonderful students she sees each day.

Kathy Stemmer, Amelia Elementary

Kathy has taught Special Education in West Clermont for 31 years! Kathy graduated with her Education degree from Miami University and her Masters degree from Marygrove College. She has worked at Brantner Elementary and Glen Este Middle School before coming to Amelia Elementary. Her focus is to enthusiastically and purposefully accept students for who they are and more importantly to identify and reinforce the strengths of all students for their educational success.

We again will have the Cincinnati Reds mascots participate, greatly adding to the enjoyment of all who attend the event. We are also extremely happy to announce that the biggest Reds’ support Teddy Kremer as featured on ABS News, CBS Sports, WCPO and many other media outlets will participate in the parade as well!
