Dean Jeff Bauer with Eric Grothaus, Vice President of Human Relations at Hydro Systems – accepted the Veterans Affairs Appreciation Award on behalf of his company.
UC Clermont College’s Veterans Day Celebration featured a Black Hawk helicopter flown in by the 1-137th Ohio Army National Guard from Columbus.

The helicopter landed on the front lawn of the campus commons and served as a back drop for the ceremony honoring Veterans. Assistant Professor and Navy Veteran Dr. Jill Gomez spoke about her experience in the military shaping her career path. She also expressed her appreciation for her alma mater – UC Clermont College – in supporting her upon her return home as she earned her degrees.

Dean Jeff Bauer shared his experience of being born into a military family and living around the world. His father – retired USAF Major George R. Bauer, served from 1965 – 1986 – shaped his experience and views on leadership.

Terence Harrison, Program Manager of Veterans Programs and Services at the University of Cincinnati, honored veterans for their service and recalled the roles that each of them played in their military jobs and back at home.

The college also recognized Hydro Systems with the Veterans Affairs Appreciation Award for the dedication, support, and opportunities provided to Student Veterans and graduates within their organization.

Students from the Milford High School ROTC participated in the ceremony as the color guard.
