At the Oct. 22 meeting of the Union Township Board of Trustees, three area high school seniors were each presented with college scholarships. The Union Township Professional Firefighters Association IAFF Local 3412 Benefit Fund honored Archbishop McNicholas High School students Meghan Baker and Lauren Andrews, and Archbishop Moeller student Zane Cooper, each with a $500 scholarship.

Baker is going to St. Mary’s College to pursue a nursing degree, and Andrews will also pursue a nursing degree at the University of Kentucky. Cooper will attend Marquette University with plans of pursuing a doctorate in orthopedic surgery.
