The soccer season has come to an end for all 10 Clermont County girls soccer teams.

Southern Buckeye Conference champions Amelia and Clermont Northeastern were early-round casualties in the sectional tournament as were Division I staples Milford and Glen Este.

The Lady Barons, coming off of their sixth consecutive SBC-American title, defeated No. 24 seed Colerain in the first round of the Division I sectional, 4-0, but faced a familiar opponent in the sectional semifinal, top-seeded Mason.

The Lady Comets ended Amelia’s season last year and were able to repeat the feat on Oct. 22, shutting out the Lady Barons, 4-0.

Amelia finished the season 14-3-0.

Milford and Glen Este were both knocked out of the postseason in the first round.

The Lady Eagles fell to Eastern Cincinnati Conference rivals Anderson in penalty kicks and Glen Este lost to Hamilton, 2-1.

In Division II, CNE won their second consecutive SBC-National title this year going undefeated in conference play, but a tough draw pitted the Lady Rockets, seeded 10th, against the No. 5 seed, Bishop Fenwick.

Unable to find the back of the net for just the fourth time all season, CNE fell, 3-0. They ended with a 13-2-2 record.

New Richmond, the runners-up in the SBC-American, made the deepest run of area squads reaching the sectional finals for the second year in a row.

The No. 4 Lady Lions dispatched of Batavia, seeded 16th, in the first round, 2-0, before blowing out Mount Healthy in the sectional semifinal, 9-0.

Top seed Indian Hill awaited New Richmond in the sectional final and the Lady Braves emerged victorious, 2-0. New Richmond finished the season 16-2-1.

Goshen lost in the first round of the sectional tournament to Clinton Massie.

Lastly, in Division III, Bethel-Tate, Felicity-Franklin and Williamsburg all suffered losses in their first sectional game.

Bethel-Tate fell to Ripley-Union, 2-0, Williamsburg lost to CHCA, 6-0, and Felicity were 9-0 losers to Reading.
