Grace Hughes Duchemin turned 106 on Oct. 7! Born on her family farm outside of Bethel, Mrs. Duchemin has been a lifelong resident of Clermont County.
She graduated from Owensville High School and then attended UC to obtain her teaching degree. She started as a primary school teacher in Indian Hill and then proceeded, for 25 years, to teach at Owensville. She was married to Floyd and is a mother of 3 daughters, a grandmother, and a great grandmother. Besides teaching, Mrs. Duchemin enjoys reading, botany, playing Free Cell on her computer & visiting with family and friends.
