Drink the District is hosting the first-of-its-kind cider fest for Cincinnatians 21 and older.

Join them on Halloween, Oct. 31, 2015, at Sawyer Point as “Rock the Core” celebrates the Queen City’s brewing heritage with more than 30 craft beers and hard ciders.

Dress in your best Halloween costume, and arrive ready to party from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Rock the Core promises to bring the orchard to your mug with bottomless pours of hard cider and beer. Some of the popular local breweries include: MadTree, Listermann, Christian Moerlein, Fifty West, Mt. Carmel, Bad Tom, Rivertown, Wiedemann, and Rhinegeist, featuring their new Cidergeist. Many favorites from outside the region, such as Magic Hat, Goose Island, Strongbow, Woodchuck, and DuClaw will also be on hand.

The event also features tunes from DJ Julian and lawn games, including a Giant Jenga, Beer Pong, Corn Hole, Ladder Golf and more! Some of the local food trucks include Red Sesame, Alabama Fish Bar, Fat Daddy’s Foodtruck and Cuban Pete’s!

Choosing Cincinnati as the appropriate location for the signature cider event made perfect sense considering the craft brewery footprint in the historic brewery district of Over-the-Rhine. Founder & CEO Steuart Martens, a finalist from season 10 of NBC’s “The Apprentice,” and his team thoughtfully chose the 513 as their preferred audience. “Cincinnati has such a rich history as a brewery town, dating back to the mid-1800s. There’s no better way to celebrate that than to host Rock the Core at Sawyer Point,” says Martens.

Drink the District was created when Martens realized there weren’t many events being created for millennials. “[The events] were either perceived as too stuffy or boring, and we’d leave feeling like we didn’t get our money’s worth. We wanted to have a good time at an affordable price.”

Tickets are available for $35-$50 at http://drinkthedistrict.com/cincinnati/rock-the-core/. Ticket price includes admission, unlimited samples, lawn games, and live music. Food Trucks will serve food at an additional cost.
