A body was found in a burnt-out car on the 2900 block of Bethel Hygiene Road in Tate Township on Oct. 16.

The Bethel-Tate Fire Department was called to the scene at about 6 a.m.

The vehicle, which was located in a wooded area behind the residence, was found to be the source of the fire.

An unidentified body was found in the car after firefighters extinguished the flames.

The body was transported by the Clermont County Coroner’s Office to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Lab for an autopsy.

The lab will utilize dental records to identify the deceased.

The Clermont County Sheriff’s Office is working with local and state fire personnel to investigate the fire.

“We’re looking into the case. At this point, we don’t suspect any foul play,” said Chief Deputy Steve Leahy.

The owner of the property where the vehicle was found is not believed to be related to the deceased, according to officials.

The investigation is ongoing and additional details will be available once a final report is received from the Hamilton County Coroner’s Lab.
