Grant Career Center Cosmetology students Carmen Williams and Kelsee Lee shampooing their color clients.
On Tuesday, Sept. 29, 11 Cosmetology II students from Grant Career Center, supervised by Janelle Baudendistel, Senior Instructor, will open their new Salon and Spa for business.

The salon is currently open Tuesdays through Fridays 11:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

The salon offers a wide variety of services, including haircuts, color, perms, waxes, facials, pedicures and manicures. Conditioning treatments, highlights, lowlights, shampoos, and sets are also available.

Clients are charged a minimal cost, ranging from $1.00 for a shampoo up to $30.00 for a highlighting color service.

The school is located west of Bethel on State Route 125 with the salon entrance in the front of the building. For an appointment, clients should call 734.6222 ext. 3101.

The salon provides students with exposure to clients and with practical experience to help them pass their state boards and prepare for the work world.

Senior Cosmetology students having worked in the salon during their junior year, enter their senior year experienced and confident.

Mrs. Baudendistel quotes “I am looking forward to another successful year. We have some new services we are eager to offer. The students really strive to do well. It is a great group of students.”
