Turner Edgar “Ed” Kirby Jr. of Milford passed Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Venetian Gardens in Goshen Township. He was born November 21, 1931 in Cincinnati the son of Turner E. and Mattie Louise Stivers Kirby Sr. He was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, a member of the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and Senior Vice President of the Western Southern Life Insurance Company. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Helen (nee Wells), daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Tony Koblitz, Kerry and Pat Chandler, Jennifer Kirby, Mary and Tom Bowman, son and daughter-in-law, Turner Edgar “Ed” and Jennifer Kirby III, grandchildren, Amanda Chandler, Alex and Andrea Koblitz, Kirby and Palmer Bowman, Bradley Kirby, sister, Juanita (Jim) Byrns, brother-in-law, Jim (Margie) Wells and sister-in-law the late Bonnie McCreary, and many nieces and nephews. Services were held 3:00 PM Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Evans Funeral Home, Milford with visitation from 2:00 to 3:00PM prior to the service. Rev. William Fenker will officiate. A reception will follow the service at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in the Fellowship Hall. Burial will be at the Arlington Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family.
