Eugene Havens Talley, age 91 of Hamersville, Ohio died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the Ohio Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Ripley, Ohio. He worked for US Shoe and after his retirement he worked for the Utility Department for the Village of Hamersville . Eugene was born September 25, 1923 in Fleming County, Kentucky the son of the late Sterling and Pearl (Simons) Talley. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter – Ruth Talley, three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Talley is survived by three children – Diane Lewis of Bethel , Ohio , Emma “Jeannie” Righter and husband Joe of Georgetown, Ohio and Kenny Talley and wife Michele of Georgetown, Ohio; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one sister – Pauline Tracy of Georgetown , Ohio and one very special friend – Kirsten Grant of Georgetown, Ohio.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Kevin Whitsett will officiate. Visitation was from 12:00-2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown , Ohio.
