Delford Henry Freidhoff, age 65 of Aberdeen, Ohio died Friday, August 28, 2015 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was retired from the United States Air Force, a Vietnam War and Operation Desert Shield/Storm War veteran, a member of the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 in Georgetown, Ohio, the Simon Kenton VFW Post #2734 in Maysville, Kentucky, the St. Michael Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio, the DAV and the Knights of Columbus Ripley Council #2374 and All Saints Assembly #3091. Delford was born September 9, 1949 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania the son of the late Edgar and Florence (Eckenrod) Freidhoff. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter – Pauline Ruth Freidhoff, his father-in-law – Charles Applegate and two brothers-in-law – Robert Moore and Gerald Everhart.

Mr. Freidhoff is survived by his wife of 36 years Rhonda B. (Applegate) Freidhoff whom he married June 20, 1979; one daughter – Denise Marie Rice and husband Kevin of Mt.Orab, Ohio; one son – Steven William Henry Freidhoff of Amelia, Virginia; five sisters – Dorothy Everhart of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Doris Knisel and husband William of Summer Hill, Pennsylvania, Darlene Straub and husband James of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Diana Moore of Elgin, Illinois and Debbie Washington and husband Ray of Johnstown, Pennsylvania; one brother – Donald Freidhoff of Johnstown, Pennsylvania; mother-in-law – Alma Applegate of Maysville, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Ripley. Rev. Dohrman Byer will be the Celebrant. Visitation was from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Interment was in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Plumville, Kentucky with military services.
