The new Scene75 location, due to open in the next couple weeks in Miami Township, is taking form.

The new location is modeled after the original Scene75 location in Dayton.

In July, the building only showed glimpses of the activities to come, but now nearly all the activities and games are ready to go and the building is a bustle of preparation and colorful, flashing lights.

Many of the flashing lights come from the more than 100 arcade games that are scattered throughout the building.

The center bar, designed so that customers can sit and watch others play games or sit at the bar, is also colorful and glowing, and has been improved from the bar at the Dayton location, said Sean Cope, Scene75’s vice president of marketing.

“We’re making great progress,” Cope said.

Scene75 includes a party planning room. At the Dayton location, there are about 20 parties a week, Cope said.

At the minigolf area, players will be given 3D glasses that make it appear as if the art is coming off the walls, Cope said. The courses, one an underwater theme and one an immortal jungle theme, will also be lit by black lights.

The minigolf course walls were hand painted, as were the walls of the laser tag arena.

The “X Rider,” a 4D theater that shows a four or five minutes film while viewers sit in a motion based seat, is set up. There will be 10 film options, Cope said, which will include King Python.

The mini bowling lounge and the children’s room are both almost finished. The lounge will be a very relaxing place to spend time, Cope said.

The children’s room will include a bouncing area for children 12 and under and an area for children three and under to play, Cope said.

Other activities include “Valkyrie,” a zombie apocalypse game for eight players to compete by shooting zombies, go-karts and a laser maze. There is also a bar and grill and four party rooms and one banquet room.

“We’re very excited to get it open,” Cope said. If likes on Facebook are any indication, there are over 27,000 people who are looking forward to the opening as well.

Scene75 is located at 876 state Route 28 in Miami Township.
