Sharks aren’t the only ones out for blood this summer.
Hoxworth Blood Center will host its own version of “Shark Week,” beginning Monday, August 31 through Friday, September 4 at all Neighborhood Donor Centers.
Anyone who comes in to donate during the scheduled week will take home a limited edition “Shark Week” t-shirt.
“The summer months often mean increased blood usage and decreased donors,” said Alecia Lipton, Hoxworth spokesperson. “We need all donors to help take a ‘bite out of’ blood shortages this summer and what better theme to have than ‘Shark Week’?”
Donors can visit www.hoxworth.org or call 513-451-0910 to schedule an appointment to donate. Due to the anticipated popularity of this event, appointments are encouraged.
