Riverdays – New Richmond on the Ohio is set for this coming weekend and should prove to be better than ever!

Fun starts on Friday, August 14 from 6 p.m. to 12 midnight, then on Saturday, August 15 it begins with a Veterans Parade at 12 noon and goes to midnight, then wraps up on Sunday from 12 noon to 6 p.m..

All three days will be loaded with live music, rides, games, lots of crafts and food and a gambling tent. One of the feature rides this year will be Helicopter Rides! The live music lineup for this year is Hay Market Riot on Friday, August 14 from 8-11 p.m., Saturday, August 15, Acoustic Edge from 5-7 p.m., Kenny Welch Band from 8 p.m. to midnight and Sunday, August 16, Model Behavior noon to 3 p.m. and Richie and the Students from 3-6 p.m.

Also on Saturday, August 15 the 23rd annual Cardboard Boat Regatta takes place. This regatta should prove itself to be the largest event ever with 70 boats and thousands of spectators anticipated. Boat registration starts at 10 a.m. with the race starting at 1 p.m. There will be 27 speed and creative trophies. Free cardboard is available (while supply lasts) and building tips at the Cardboard Boat Museum located at 311 Front Street, New Richmond. Then on Saturday night at 10 p.m. there will be the big bang fireworks.
