The Jeffrey P. Forster Chapter of the National Honor Society proudly announces the induction of 94 new members for the 2014-2015 academic school year. Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow held five induction ceremonies across five cities in Ohio including Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo, and two in Columbus.

This marks the fifth year in a row ECOT has admitted students into the National Honor Society.

Among the 94 students were these from the Clermont area:

Brooklyn Jones
BATAVIA

Wesley Laub
AMELIA

“These 94 young men and women exemplify what it means to be an ECOT student,” said ECOT Superintendent Rick Teeters. “Not only have they thrived in the classroom, but they have gone the extra mile and contributed to their communities. It is great to see their hard work and dedication rewarded.”

National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to distinguish exceptional High School students who exhibit excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Each year, NHS inducts thousands of select students throughout the country. To gain eligibility for NHS, students must meet certain criteria set both by NHS and ECOT. Students must be a Junior or Senior and have a cumulative GPA of 3.25, which must be maintained to preserve NHS membership. On top of that, students must have at least ten hours of community service, two letters of recommendation; one from teacher or counselor and another from a member of their community.

Since 2000, ECOT has provided Ohio students the best curriculum, technology, and teachers available online today.

With over 17,000 students having graduated from ECOT, and with an enrollment now over 16,000, ECOT is one of the largest online K-12 schools in the United States.
