The team takes to the “field” at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at the Amelia Branch Library, 58 Maple St. After the game, meet Gapper from the Cincinnati Reds from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. followed by a showing of “The Rookie” with Dennis Quaid starting at 2 p.m.

The Cincinnati Buckeyes will talk about how the game of “base ball” was played in the 19th century, including the Civil War, up to when the Cincinnati Red Stockings became the nation’s first all-professional team in 1869.
