Plans are coming together for the annual Batavia Rotary Golf Outing. This event takes place on Thursday, June 18 at Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia Township.

“We have spent several months on preparations for this event,” said Brandon Little, Pastor of Landmark Ministries and chair of the 2015 Outing Committee. The day of golfing wraps up with dinner, followed by awards, presentations, and raffle drawings.”

Individuals and businesses can still participate in sponsorships that include: Beverage Cart Sponsor, $1200; Longest Drive Sponsor, $750; Closest-to-the-Pin Sponsor, $750; Hole Sponsor, $250; and Friend Sponsor, $100.

Registrations for foursomes are still available at $500. Individuals can also participate for $125.

Super prizes for the raffle include a hole-in-one for $10,000, premium golf and electronics equipment, and a choice of men’s or ladies’ Seiko watch. Other door prizes and raffle items will be distributed at the golf outing dinner. Tickets can be purchased through any Batavia Rotary Club member.

This year’s Major Sponsor is Park National Bank. Jennifer Fischer serves as the bank’s Senior Vice President and is also the 2014-15 Batavia Rotary Club President. Fischer will be on hand at the outing dinner to distribute proceeds of the outing to local groups and organizations. Past recipients include the Sauls Homeless Shelter, Clermont Boys and Girls Club, Veteran’s groups, YWCA Women’s Shelter, teen Challenge, and Boy Scouts of America. Funds not distributed at the golf outing dinner are set aside for scholarships that are given to UC Clermont, Batavia Local, and Clermont Northeastern School students.
